historic fur-trading route.
Camp and follow the shores of
Missinaibi Lake to see hundreds

Park |
Location:

Description:
Voyageurs once stopped here
regularly, left with only enough
flour to make pancakes. From
here they went to nearby Sault
Ste. Marie to restock their
supplies.

Description:
Tidewater is 20 kilometers from
James Bay and is made up of five
islands. This is Cree country
and the site of the first
Hudson’s Bay Company trading
post at Moose Factory.
